As some of you know, and most of you probably don’t know, my dad has Parkinson’s Disease. He was diagnosed around 15 years ago and, with my mom’s help, has been fighting this uphill battle since.
In honor of him for Father's Day and for his birthday coming up I'm going to DONATE 20% of our sales this week (June 19 - 25) to the Parkinson's Foundation.
THANKS SO MUCH everyone for your interest in our masks. We are so grateful and glad we are able to help keep you protected (while cute and colorful).
We make our masks from our seconds towels and are working with a local seamstress to make them so we only have a limited amount each week. SIGN UP FOR OUR 新闻LETTER HERE to get the secret time we post them each Saturday.
A FEW THINGS TO NOTE:
1. ACT FAST when checking out. They have been selling out quickly so be ready. *We use Shopify for our website and they do not have a cart protection function so if others check out faster than you, the item(s) will leave your cart. (Sorry! We’re a small biz and this is how it is at this time.)
2. WE'LL HAVE MORE! As long as they keep selling, we'll keep making them so if you don’t get one or if you want some more, we got you.
3. DESIGNS WILL VARY We are making our masks from our misprinted or slightly damaged dish towels (frayed edges, small holes, etc...) to give them a new life. This means each batch we make will be different and have different flavor designs offered depending on what we have in our seconds pile. So we may have a design one week, and not the next, but it doesn’t mean it won’t be back again!
We're in a defining moment for our country and want to help make the changes that are so badly needed for our black friends and neighbors. We donated 20% of all our website sales JUNE 5-11 to ColorofChange.org.
Please check out their website HERE to make a direct donation of your own, sign their petitions, and listen, read, and learn on their social channels.
Our brick and mortar shop in Shaw DC is still closed.
We are hoping to be open for curbside pick up in the coming weeks and will keep you posted when we're ready. In the meantime if you're local and would like to pick up leave a note on your order when checking out and we can accommodate.
We know the corona virus is affecting all of us in different ways—financially, emotionally, and physically—but if you are able to help support our small business we’d love to add a little bit of sunshine to your days with the goods on our site here.
Hope to see all of your smiling faces again soon.
